What a terrific start of a discussion! It is not technology that is driving up the cost of healthcare. It is that technology paves the way for us to believe we can overcome health maintenance by using technology and medications to fix us later on when we break. Society's behavior creates the perception of technology not being efficient. The technology is efficient and productive, our behavior is not.

Another problem is that information about what individuals need to do about their health needs is not available at time it is needed. This causes people not to act when they should (preventive health)and to undergo procedures when they shouldn't. The gap between providers and patients continues to widen because of misaligned and non reliable information driving health processes.

What about:

the spendings saved by saving lives versus the spendings spent in technologies helping us to save thoses lives

Which is somehow the hidden benefit of saved lives.

So isn't this already some sort of scaling to be able to address more patients ?

Thanks
